CV Weekly: Coachella Weekend 2 Wraps Up & Stagecoach Kicks Off This Week

By Desert Biz Connect

✨ Last Week Around the Valley

What a week it's been in the Coachella Valley! The biggest story was undoubtedly Coachella Music Festival Weekend 2, which ran April 17–19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Headliners Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G brought massive crowds back to the desert for another unforgettable weekend of music, art, and community energy. Weekend 1 (April 11–13) had faced some challenges with strong desert winds that caused a few performance disruptions, but Weekend 2 delivered the full festival experience the Valley is known for.

The Coachella Festival continues to be one of the most significant annual events for our local economy, drawing visitors from around the world to our hotels, restaurants, shops, and services. A huge thank you to all the local businesses and community members who helped make this season a success!

    • Coachella Weekend 2 (April 17–19): Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G headlined the final weekend of the 2026 festival at Empire Polo Club, Indio.

    • Weekend 1 Wind Disruptions: Strong desert winds during Weekend 1 caused some performance cancellations and schedule adjustments — a reminder of the Valley's unique climate character.

    • Local Economy Boost: Tens of thousands of festival-goers filled Valley hotels, restaurants, and shops throughout the month of April.

    • Palm Springs City Council: The City Council held its regular meeting on April 8, with ongoing city business and community planning discussions.
